OIC New Britain receives $50,000 from United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut to fund their FO’REAL Program (Fostering Opportunities to Reach Educational and Employment Aspirations for Life). This funding is aligned with the United Way’s funding track: which focuses on Youth and young adults (14-24) gaining the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to obtain family-sustaining employment. OIC has hired a new Career Competency Instructor/Intake Aide to lead this new initiative. This program will align well with other programs OICNB operates especially, Summer Youth Employment and Learning, IMPACT, Men of Many Colors, Moving Mountains Step Up and Year-Round Youth. OICNB’s mission is to continue to help people to help themselves by providing personal development. Thank you! United Way

The OIC New Britain Annual Awards Gala has been planned for May 3rd, 2019. This is a semi-formal event that will begin at 5:00 P.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Hall, 301 West Main Street, New Britain, CT.
Our theme this year is “INSPIRATION”.
The evening features a wonderful dinner, silent auction and the recognition of our awardees. In addition, this year OIC will showcase the many lives we have touched through video and short remarks from OIC Alumni.
We continue to recognize the importance of quality relationships in our work and realize that we are not alone in our efforts. The many partners and relationships which we have developed play a major role in our work and we are genuinely grateful.
